This was our tenth visit to Seafield over a period of 25 years but our first visit during the winter. Although it was cold outside we had no difficulty keeping the cottage warm using the central heating and the duel-fuel stove. The main bedroom is spacious and very comfortable, the shower in the bathroom works well and the kitchen is very well equipped. During the day we enjoyed some good walks from the cottage and within 15 minutes drive, and in the evening we read several books and caught up on a couple of films on DVD. we ate out in Peets in Lochinver one night and also bought excellent pies from the Lochinver Larder for supper another night. The glorious view across Edrachillis Bay to the mountains above Scourie acquired new magic the morning we woke up to see them all covered in snow in the sunshine. So overall we greatly enjoyed our stay and warmly recommend the cottage. We'd add, from previous experience, that in the summer the conservatory is a huge asset, as it is nearly always warm and the view is endlessly interesting.

What a delightful week we spent in Seafield Cottage in Culkein. The house was so cosy and comfortable and was so well kitted out too. There's an extensive library of books of all genres, some of which I enjoyed reading while sitting in the lovely, bright conservatory. The only sounds to be heard generally were the occasional sheep baaing and the cheery wee Robin who serenaded us daily from the atop the chimney pots! My daughter wondered whether anyone would notice if she took her bed and bedding home and swapped it for her own! We found our bed in the downstairs room excessivley comfortable too. Lots of walking, fishing and much eating out of delicious, beautifully cooked fresh foods! Perfect!

We enjoyed a delightful week in May 2018 at this charming cottage. It is very comfortable and well equipped and it is located with glorious views over to Quinag and across the sea to the spectacular coast spread out to the north. There are also good walks in many directions from the cottage.
